For more than sixty years' BT have experience of working closely with the National Health Service (NHS). This has provided BT with a unique understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the health sector.

Its relationship with the NHS dates back to when the very first NHS hospitals were established in 1948 and BT, which was then known as Post Office Telecommunications, provided telecommunication services.
